Aspens Ski Retreat

Tucked into the serenity of the Aspens – a quaint neighborhood only a few miles from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort – this condo offers beautiful views and plenty of opportunities to glimpse local wildlife. Downtown Jackson is only a short drive away, but this home’s location allows you to leave the bustle behind and truly enjoy the peace of the mountains. A recent remodel of this unit has made it uniquely chic and comfortable; new cherry cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and upgraded bathrooms are just a few of the highlights.

Warm up after a day of powder skiing in front of the slate and glass fireplace, or sip a refreshing drink on the private deck to recover from an unforgettable summertime hike. No matter what time of year you enjoy this home, the quiet and comfort are guaranteed to enrich your Jackson Hole experience.

This is a second floor unit and two interior floors make up the unit. The futon in the loft is a twin, best for a young adult or child.

  We rented 323 Pines for 6 nights at the end of June. The condo was conveniently located between Teton Village and Jackson. The bathrooms were updated, and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was also updated with new finishes and appliances. Furnishings in the living are dated and showing wear, but overall, this was a nice quiet place to stay!

  This property fit our family of 5 very well. It was centrally located between Teton Village and the town of Jackson. The only thing that would have been nice was to have ceiling fans due to no AC. It did get pretty warm in the property when we went to bed due to no AC but the mornings were cool. Maybe a few decorations of the mountains to decorate the walls. But other than that it was a perfect space for us and we would stay there again.

  We had a pleasant stay at this cozy duplex condo. Plenty of space to move around and the two bathrooms came handy for the five of us. The condo's location is just a stone throw away from the Jackson Hole ski resort.
  
  The kitchen has plenty of counter space, making meal prep convenient, although the kitchen design is a difficult to accommodate multiple chefs working/moving around at the same time. Upon arrival at the condo, we noticed there were plenty of pots but only one small frying pan in the kitchen; we reported this to the management company, and they were very responsive and provided multiple pans on the same day based on our request.
  
  A few more minor things to point out: one cupboard in the kitchen was missing a door; the front door lock was a bit loose so it could take a few tries to lock or open the front door.

  Generally the unit was clean. The porch had a lot of animal droppings. A call to property management took care of it quickly. compact unit. Kitchen galley is very tight. Furniture needs an upgrade. Sofa is very low and sinks down. I gave up sitting on it. Porch furniture needs to be replaced. A support strap is missing on one of the chairs and a person really sinks, it is a safety issue. The toilet paper is the same quality as the vault toilets in the national parks. Nice neighborhood with stores within walking distance.

  The rental was extremely clean and had all necessary items including mini shampoo/conditioner/lotion as well everything you could need to cook in the kitchen. It is about 10 min drive away from Jackson but with the amount of tourists it became 45 min at times. While there were a few places to eat nearby that worked we really couldn’t go to Jackson much with a long traffic wait. Also, due to no air conditioning you need to leave the windows open at all times which makes it hard to sleep as the parking lot is right there.

  The condo was nice and in a convenient location. But the furniture in front of the TV is beginning to show its age. The condo is cool at night with the windows open. But if there's no crosswind during the day it gets hot. There was only one small pan fire the entire family. Which could only hold one butterflied chicken beat. We had to eat in turns. The toilet paper was the type you would find in a government building. We bought our own. And though out of the condos control, there's only one lane back from Jackson to the condo, if you catch rush hour, you'll be there forever.

  This condo is in a great location for Teton Village and Jackson Hole. The layout was perfect for us since we were traveling with another couple. It had one bedroom and bath on the first floor and a loft area with another bedroom and bath upstairs. Plenty of room for privacy. The kitchen area is small, however it is updated and the fireplace and small porch area were a nice touch. The owner did a fantastic job communicating with us and made sure any questions/needs we had were met immediately. Great customer service. The Jackson Hole area focuses on maintaining environmentally-friendly street and sidewalk surfaces by minimizing the use of asphalt and concrete as paving surfaces whenever and wherever possible. This policy is very evident in The Aspens where the Aspens Ski Retreat is located, adjacent to the conservation lands. Wildlife sightings are common year-round in The Aspens as just one result of this policy. Rainstorms which circulate dust -- especially in the spring and early summer and which were recently abundant - are one downside. That said, we encourage you and other renters to please call us if you find the porch or anything else out of sorts because we would have loved the opportunity to make it better for you during your stay and would have come right over. We are sorry you were disappointed and hope you come again so we can make it up to you!

  I suppose we are the unlucky customers to get the less than 4.5 star stay we expected for this property. Some counters had clearly not been wiped down, the ice and air filters indicated they were past replacement time and overall the condo was less than clean.
  
  Onto the crappiest situation (literally!)...
  Upon attempting to use the upstairs toilet my wife discovered it had been badly (and I mean worst I’ve ever seen!) clogged. We took pictures but are unable to attach the review. We were unable to locate a plunger so we called the condo number and dialed the option to reach on-call personnel. No one answered so we left a voicemail of our situation and asked for someone to come remedy the situation along with our cell phone number. This was night 1 of 3. No one followed up on our voicemail during out entire stay. Unfortunately, I flushed the toilet which did not overflow but filled the entire upstairs with a horrible smell of sewer and took a while to air out. The next morning we located a plunger and I dislodged the load. Multiple flushes did not make a dent in cleaning the toilet bowl which was coated in feces. The nastiness was well caked on and required a lot of scrubbing, holding of breath and cleaner. We expected the $150 cleaning fee to cover all aspects of the condo, which it clearly did not.
  
  The final unsettling situation we experienced was one morning a complex employee attempted to unlock and enter the condo. His key did not work on the deadbolt. I opened the door and asked what he was doing. He stated that he had fire starters to drop off for us. When I asked for an explanation as to why he did not attempt to knock first he muttered something and quickly left. This made us feel very uncomfortable as we had no expectation that anyone else would be entering the condo while we stayed there without our knowledge.
  
  Based on our experiences we will not rent any unit in this complex again and we would not recommend this property to any

    Hi Jason, we are very troubled to learn of your negative experience. We can't be sure what number you called but our call log indicates no call from you during your stay. Our phone system also sends us an email notification, no matter what time of day or night, for all voicemails that we receive and there is no email record of this either. Apex takes great pride in not only delivering a great product, but also being here 24/7 to stand behind our rentals. We believe this is evidenced in our 55 excellent, 5 star reviews on VRBO and overall 4.6 out of 5 rating. Regardless, we are appalled that you had to go through this and only wish we had been able to remedy it for you ourselves in a timely manner. With regards to our employee coming by unannounced that is completely our fault and we apologize. We manage several properties in this neighborhood and this time of year we like to put "one match" fire kits in place for our renters convenience.   When we first walked into the condo we could faint cigarette smoke. This occurred every time we entered. Matt (Apex mgr) offered to correct this but we declined because the air freshener is as bad as smoke to my wife who has asthma. The sofa and chair needs replacing - looks good but you sink in way too far. We used the wooden dinning room chairs. Beds could also use new mattresses (sink into them also). Very nice condo and location but needs new beds and sofa. Kitchen and bathrooms very nice.

  The property was very clean. The location is convenient to Jackson, Teton Village and Grand Tetons Park. It is a 2hr drive to Yellowstone which is worth it but makes for a long day.
  The shower pressure is very weak causing you to take a longer shower but the bathrooms are very nice and updated. The kitchen is new and nice but very narrow and only one person at a time. The upstairs bedroom is more for kids than adults as small. The living room furniture needs updating as older people had trouble getting out of it. The Aspen Market in the front of the complex is convenient. There was a mother moose and calf that wandered the neighborhood one day. Highly recommend the tram up Rendevous Mtn but be aware 10,450' up and you feel the effects of the altitude if you are usually a flatlander!

  We stayed 8 nights at this unit this past Christmas week 2015. The property is about 15 minutes from Jackson Hole near Teton Village. The unit had everything we needed to make a great stay. What was nice was when we showed hey had the foreplace already loaded with a starter log and wood with surplus wood 10 feet away on back porch. The unit is nicely laid out and we opted to put the 2 twin beds together as a king. Unit had all utensils needed and was spotless cleaned for us. It is an upstairs unit on the second floor but easily accessible. It was perfect for 2 couples. Lucas at Apex was exceptional from time of booking until checkout, making sure our needs were covered. There are places to eat within walking distance from condo and a supermarket closely as well. But their prices are about 200% higher than Albertson's 15 miles away. Your choice there.... I have been to this area during all seasons for about the past 25 years and this stay was as pleasant as any others. And I highly recommend this unit and the management service handling the rentals. You cant go wrong. The only recommendation I have is to put a TV in each bedroom as the only TV is a large screen in living room. We made do without the extra TV's just fine though. Thanks Lucas !   The place was clean and more or less as advertised. However, the fireplace did not draw and smoked up the unit. We called the company and they sent a man to check it. Unfortunately, he could not fix it, and said he'd get a chimney sweep. Unfortunately, it was never fixed during our stay (they didn't even call me back after that). The weather was cool and rainy and we would have liked having a fire. Also, we had asked to enter the place an hour or so early on our first day. Check-in was 4 pm and we had a meeting at 5 pm that evening. The charge would have been $55/hour (on a unit we rented for $140/night. Seems exorbitant and "unfriendly" given that the place had not been rented out for weeks. It is not like the time was needed for cleaning after previous guests.

  After a little trouble getting the key out of the lockbox, we had a wonderful time. I would rate the overall unit as and A-. We had to buy a dish towel to dry what we hand washed. Our friends said the twin mattresses in the upstairs bedroom should be replaced. And for some reason the mattress pad in the queen room made the bed to hot even with the heat turned to 55. However the rest of the unit was great. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, the bath towels were plush and the supplied toiletries were very nice. I would stay here again. Also just down the road is a terrific restaurant named Calico. We also saw lots of wildlife off our balcony.

Everything has been newly redone. The kitchen isn't huge but was plenty big enough to manage a quick breakfast so it was nice to not have to eat out all 3 meals a day.   The condo is exactly as it looks in the photos. New kitchen appliances and huge washer and dryer! Very convenient location to everything. Would be happy to stay there again.

  The rental was in a great location not too far from all the activities we had scheduled. The condo was very clean and met all of our needs. If we ever travel to Jackson Hole again we would definitely go through Apex for our rental.

  Great place, peacefull, well appointed. We enjoyed our stay there very much. It s a little far from Jackson that would be the only down part.
